Game Informer Magazine

A thirty-two page feature about horror games.

This project is a thirty two page magazine mock up for the famous Game Informer magazine. In this project I included six pages of info-graphics, two advertisements and a main feature. In this case, I designed a magazine around upcoming horror games and their unique designs.
Objective: Game Informer is looking for a designer to create a multi-page publication document for a horror video game special edition of their popular magazine. The magazine features upcoming horror titles being developed by different studios and feature drastically different themes. The magazine will also feature an info-graphics and must have a professional looking layout.

Target Audience: The target audience is teenagers and young adults (17-25) who are heavily interested in video games and development news. The audience must also be a fan of survival horror games as a genre.

Style Concept: The stylistic choices of this project should reflect Game Informer’s style with a twist for their special edition issue. Focus heavily on dark and cool colors for the main feature of the magazine. Include Game Informer’s logo to properly brand the magazine.
These two spreads are the Outlast 2 feature of the magazine. Pretty self explanatory minus the murderous cult members and crazed zealot.
These two spreads are for the Agony section of the feature article. The game features a vivid and vicious look into an overly gory, hellish, landscape.
This final magazine spread talks about the upcoming puzzling-butterfly-effect-story driven game. Scorn is all about the choices you make and their long or short term effects they'll have down the road. Scorn is also based off of H.G. Geiger's art style, the same art style used in the Alien franchise.
