Digital Printing Booklet

A booklet detailing facts and information about Digital Printing process.

This project was a saddle stitched booklet based on digital printing information. The booklet contains a timeline of digital printing history, facts, and pictures of various digital printing processes.
Objective: The client is seeking a client to develop and print a booklet detailing the information about digital CMYK color printing. The booklet needs to feature a timeline of major points in digital printing history. The booklet must also be at least 8 pages and reach a specific audience. Layout design should also be considered to be visually interesting to the viewer.

Target Audience: The target audience for this project is graphic designers between the ages of 18-24. They can be students in the field of graphic design, learning the basics of digital printing, or, novice designers just starting out. The layout should cater to their need of organized layouts but should also be appealing to the eye.

Style Concept: The stylistic choices of this project should focus on the CMYK color values. No specific standards for style are specified so colorful and linear based layout designs should be considered when making this project. A retro look for CMYK colors should be considered when making  as this is the main talking point of this booklet.
This is the cover of the booklet. I used a retro CMYK design and used the Rockwell typeface to give it an extra retro color print feel.
This is the timeline spread detailing a simple history of digital printing. It describes the history of digital printing in milestones by the fathers of the craft.
This spread details the origins of digital printing and includes some pictures with digital printing. Each of these pictures were put through a duo tone color treatment and then applied to the layout.
This spread includes factual research about on how digital printing is sourced via businesses. It also includes a fact about recycling digital prints.
